By flexing the activator (circular disc), the friction caused acts
as a catalyst that creates an exothermic reaction. The changing of the molecular structure from a liquid to a solid releases heat - this heat will remain for up to one hour (depending on size and insulation).
To activate, place the activator between your fingers and gently and
slowly flex back and forth until the Shin Bio Heat Pack begins to
turn white. The Shin Bio Heat Pack has been activated.
Initially the pack will become rigid at activation. Massage the pack
to maximize the heat as well as to soften the pack for better application.
Failure to do so may significantly reduce the length of the heat’s
duration.
The Shin Bio Heat Pack is now ready for use.
As the heat cools, the pack will gradually become rigid. When hard,
to reset the Shin Bio Heat Pack, place the Shin Bio Heat Pack into
a pot of boiling water and boil for 10-15 minutes or until the Shin
Bio Heat Pack becomes completely liquefied. When boiling, ensure the
Shin Bio Heat Pack becomes completely liquefied. Please ensure the
pack does not make contact with the bottom of the pot. To avoid damage,
wrap Shin Bio Heat Pack in a tea towel.
The Shin Bio Heat Pack is now ready for reuse.
For use as a cold pack, store in a refrigerator for approximately
1 hour.
DO NOT FREEZE the Shin Bio Heat Pack.
NOTE: If the Shin Bio Heat Pack becomes solid or activates by itself
after boiling it means the Shin Bio Heat Pack was not reset properly.
Any residual salt crystals left in the Shin Bio Heat Pack will cause
it to reactivate. If this is the case, re-boil for a few additional
minutes than previous for proper results.
The Shin Bio Heat Pack may also activate in transit. If the pack is
solid when opened, place it in the boiling water as per instructions.

Safe Usage
The Shin Bio Heat Packs are
non-toxic and safe to use if instructions above are followed carefully.
* Take care when placing the Shin Bio Heat Pack directly on to the skin when hot.
* If too hot, place a towel in between the pack.
* If broken, avoid rubbing the non-toxic acetate onto sensitive areas such as the eyes and mouth.
* Use for external application only.
* Do not use microwave to liquefy the Shin Bio Heat Pack.
* The activator does not operate when the Shin Bio Heat Pack is hot or when the pack has been crystalised.
* Use extreme care when removing the Shin Bio Heat Pack from the boiling water.
* Avoid direct sunlight when storing as it MAY damage the sodium acetate.
