Graphic Design
Graphic design is charged at $77 per hour including GST.
Setup of a basic business card is from $45, more complicated designs will incur a higher charge.
Our design estimates will reflect the amount of time we feel is needed to bring your job to the best end result.
Each design estimate will include some client's changes and corrections, but making extensive changes will incur an extra cost and the estimate will be revised.
A PDF proof will be submitted for your approval before going to print.
Print time varies between 3 and 10 working days, depending on the product.
Artwork
No design or setup cost will be charged for press ready artwork.
This usually means:
All artwork in CMYK, or spot colour(s) if required
Set up at the correct size
Artwork to include bleed and/or cropmarks if required
Images at high resolution (no less than 300dpi at actual size)
Fonts outlined (rasterised)
Avoid saturated black as it can cause drying and scuffing problems
Keep a safe margin within the document (3mm for business cards, 5mm for other products) to avoid any information getting trimmed off
Preferred file format is a press quality PDF.
Design software used by us: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator CS3. Files in Word, Publisher, Excel etc. are not suitable for print.
Sketches+ will check the file before going to print, but takes no responsibility for the final outcome as the responsibility for the artwork lies with the client.
Printing
Sketches+ can organise and manage your print job for you.
Print costs will be calculated per job, as specs vary such as:
Quantity
Amount of colours
Single sided or double sided
Stock type
Stock weight
Special finishings like scoring, folding, gloss or matt varnish etc. |
